11 April held 41st meeting of the Committee on aviation insurance. The meeting was chaired by Kolodin, O. V. (Aeroflot).
Considered amendments to the Air code related to accession of Russia to the Montreal Convention. In the consideration of the draft law members of the Committee noted a number of contradictions and inaccuracies that need to be addressed. (See. the Russian air transport operators Association letter to the Ministry of transport from 13.03.13).
Discussed specifics of implementation of the provisions of the Law No. 67-FZ. The members of the Committee stressed that airlines Russian air transport operators Association are an international carrier and have insurance coverage on a voluntary basis with limits higher than that set by law. It is reasonable to assume that carriers its responsibilities under the civil liability insurance perform.
