Insurance company “Alfa insurance” has insured the airport of Rostov-on-don in the amount of 800 million rubles for a period of one year. “Rostov branch of “AlfaStrakhovanie” won the open competition for the provision of insurance services of the Rostov airport and got right to conclude the contract of insurance of a civil liability of owners and operators of airports and controls air traffic”, — stated in the message of the insurance company.
The airport of Rostov-on-don has the status of international airport of Federal significance. Covers an area of about 400 hectares. the Aerodrome meets the requirements of category II of International civil aviation organization (ICAO) and is able to accept almost all types of aircraft. In 2011, Rostov airport handled more than 21 thousand sorties; passenger traffic on domestic routes exceeded 1 million passengers international — 700 thousand passengers. The airport handles around 60 aircraft movements per day through it daily passes about 5 thousand passengers.
